Join World Relief Durham and Samaritan Health Center for a Superhero 5k race and fun run on Saturday, November 9. The race will begin and end at LifeSpring Church.

World Relief Durham’s goal is to work together with refugees, immigrants, churches, and community partners so that refugees and immigrants thrive in the Triangle. They do this through refugee resettlement services, including housing, case management, employment, ESL classes, and more. They also do this through youth programming in partnership with public schools, mentorship programs, immigration legal services, and long-term volunteering centered on building a network of friends focused on the needs and assets of the immigrants who call the Triangle home.
 

Samaritan Health Center is a primary care clinic serving the uninsured and underinsured from Durham and surrounding communities.  They offer medical, vision, and limited dental care in two locations, 30 hours per week.  Through donated talent and resources, they work to help eliminate our community's health disparities.  They provide care that focuses on the physical needs, as well as the social, emotional, and spiritual issues that affect health.  They are motivated by the love God has shown us through Jesus Christ, and want to respond to His love for our neighbor by providing health care to those who cannot afford it.

All race proceeds, as well as additional donations, will go to support these two local ministries. The event is stroller-friendly and pet-friendly (dogs on leashes) so don't worry about getting a babysitter or dogsitter - we don't want anyone in the family left behind!
