Who can play?

Players of all skill levels are welcome! From tournament pros to those that have never picked up an ultimate disc before. Register as a team or as an individual in need of a team! Ultimate is a family sport and we would love for anyone and everyone to come be a part of this great game!

Tell me more about the tournament format.

We will be playing a 5v5, Sub-on-the-Fly variation, which follows the USA Ultimate guidelines, with the following exceptions:

  • Games are played by teams of 5 on the field.

  • Only 2 pulls every game: at the beginning of the game and after halftime. Each team pulls once.

  • Two cones are set up on one sideline to indicate the substitution zone for both teams.

  • Players may change on-the-fly during a point. Substitutions are to be made by tagging a teammate while you are both between the two cones marking the substitution zone.

  • There is no stoppage after a point. Upon acknowledging the point, the receiving player places the disc on the ground where the point was scored, and the other team gains possession immediately. It is not necessary to wait or the defense to be ready.

  • A point cannot be scored on the 1st pass after a point has just been score (ie endzone to endzone). If thrown and completed, the player with the disc retains possession and moves it to the front of the endzone.

  • 5-minute halftime at the scheduled midpoint of the game.

  • Teams switch sides at the half.

  • Teams have 1 timeout per half.

  • A timeout lasts 60 seconds; a timeout cannot be called in the last 5 minutes of the game

What else do I need to know about the tournament?

We want to encourage as much playing as possible! Therefore, this will not be a win and advance tournament. The tournament will be formatted similar to that of the World Cup, with group play where each team in a group plays the other teams, followed by an elimination bracket. Every team should expect to play 4-5 different games throughout the day.

The day will be organized as follows:

8:00AM - Check-in/Registration Opens

9:00AM - Group Play Games Start

Noon - Lunch Break

1:00PM - Playoff/Elimination Round Games Start

5:00PM - Tournament Ends

What do I need to do to register?

You can register as an individual, as part of a team, or as a complete team. In order for us to be able to confirm your registration you must complete the registration form and submit your $15/person registration fee (see link below), and complete and submit a medical release form. Medical release forms may be submitted online via email, or they can be filled out and brought on the day of the tournament, but you will not be able to play without us having a form on file.
